Good monrning! 🙂
I’m working alone in the dark night. I’ve just backed to Ubuntu server using which has two IDE, installed in: Window Maker and Gnome.
So now I’m doing my some stuffs about:
1 – Get and extract Eclipse for jee package software at Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers or us apt-get install:
sudo apt-get install eclipse eclipse-jdt
2 – Install package `sun-java6-jdk`, but I have the same problem with it on Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid), thanks happy_coding very much!
Package sun-java6-jdk is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or is only available from another source E: Package sun-java6-jdk has no installation candidate
What I did to solve this problem was to add a new source
sudo add-apt-repository “deb http://archive.canonical.com/ lucid partner”
After that a normal
sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jdk
it worked for me.
– Then, set environment variables for java.
# Environment variable for Java
JAVA_HOME = /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun-184.108.40.206 export JAVA_HOME PATH=$PATH:$JAVA_HOME/bin export PATH
3 – Get package Apache Tomcat from Tomcat 7 Downloads, extract this and run `startup.sh` at \bin location. Then, browse with address http://localhost:8080, you will see the following sentence:
If you’re seeing this, you’ve successfully installed Tomcat. Congratulations!
4 – phpmyadmin & mysql.
5 – Install MySQL Admin & browser.
sudo apt-get install mysql-admin mysql-query-browser
[ today 2011-12-07 ]
6 – Install SQLite 3
sudo apt-get install sqlite3
sudo apt-get install sqlitebrowser
